Even as recent as the end of October, 2013, earthquakes and tsunami warnings continue in northern Japan. It's hard to be separated from so many dear folks, most of whom are still living in temporary housing units.

Welcome! After 25 years in Japan, I'm grateful for my many blessings. The last two and a half years doing survivor care in Tohoku, Japan have been the most stretching and challenging of my life. The dear folk along the coast who have lost everything because of the tsunami and earthquake of 3/11 continue to inspire and motive me. Hopefully, this blog will do the same for you, as I share many of the stories I have heard doing survivor care along the coast of northern Japan in the towns of Kamaishi and Otsuchi. Enjoy.
